Britain is paying the price for failing to invest in its young people:

I am hardly an expert, and even I said cutting funding for families with babies is storing up big problems for later, when chatting with other parents at baby group 14 years ago. Perhaps it isn't a popular topic and makes me awkward, but what's new.
